Component

A software is often splitted into various components. For example you have the graphical user interface, administration section, installation and so on. It is useful to be able to sort and filter issues which are close together to group them when working on a specific part of the application. Components are here for this. In wIT you can define as many components as you want. Components are related to a project ; this means that each project have its own set of components.

Components can be nested together, you can create a complete tree with unlimited depth level to be able to cut your application modules into piece of the right size.

Management of components is done from the administration section in the Components section. In the component list, you can add a component, edit and delete existing components.

Adding a component is really easy, you just need to provide its name and parent.
Editing a component use a similar interface. It is useful to fix some typo.
